Project Overview

This project involved the construction of a traditional early 19th century-style home near Stockbridge, combining timeless architectural features with cutting-edge Passivhaus principles. The new build house, constructed using SIPS (structurally insulated panel system), offers exceptional energy efficiency without compromising on its classic aesthetic.

The exterior features a traditional lime render, paired with a reclaimed Welsh slate roof, and cast iron guttering, giving the home an authentic period feel. Elegant stone portico, window sills, and heads further enhance its traditional charm. Internally, the property includes curved walls and a handcrafted cut-string staircase with a French-polished timber handrail, evoking classic craftsmanship.

The house is also fitted with traditional sliding sash double-glazed windows, balancing heritage style with modern energy efficiency.

Built utilising ‘Passivhaus’ principles, with modern interiors including curved walls.
