This project involved the complete renovation and modernisation of a traditional thatched building, sensitively integrating new elements while preserving its heritage charm. A standout feature of the transformation is the addition of a double-storey extension, which enhances both living space and functionality. The centrepiece of the new construction is a striking circular turret that encloses a beautifully crafted, curved oak staircase, offering an elegant focal point. A commitment to sustainability is demonstrated through the installation of a ground source heat pump, providing renewable energy and ensuring the home meets modern eco-friendly standards without compromising its character.
